Terms of Service

Welcome to Advantage Auto Detailing. We’re committed to delivering high-quality results with honesty and professionalism. The following terms help ensure a smooth, fair experience for both you and our team.

1. Preparing Your Vehicle

To help us deliver the best results, please remove all personal items from:

  • Seats and floors

  • Trunk and cargo areas

  • Centre console and glove box

  • Door pockets and storage compartments

We do not clean or empty compartments containing personal belongings.

2. Personal Property

We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle. Please remove valuables prior to your appointment.

3. Vehicle Condition & Service Review

At the start of your appointment, we may review:

  • Requested services

  • Pre-existing damage or wear

  • General vehicle condition

By proceeding, you acknowledge existing wear, damage, or defects.

 

4. Pricing & Condition-Based Adjustments

Our pricing reflects average vehicle conditions. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Heavy dirt, salt, sand, or mud

  • Excessive pet hair

  • Stains or spills requiring extra treatment

  • Severe interior or exterior contamination

You will always be notified and approve any additional charges before work continues.​

 

5. Results Disclaimer

While we strive for excellent results, we do not guarantee:

  • Complete stain or odour removal

  • Scratch or swirl removal

  • Restoration of heavily worn or damaged surfaces

Results vary based on the vehicle’s condition, materials, and age.​

 

6. Service Time

All service times are estimates. Actual time may vary depending on vehicle condition.

 

7. Mobile Service Requirements

For mobile appointments, you must provide:

  • A safe, legal, and accessible work area (driveway or private property)

  • Adequate space (minimum 4 ft around the vehicle)

  • In most cases, access to power and water

We may refuse or reschedule service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.​

 

8. Weather Policy

Mobile services are weather-dependent. If conditions prevent safe or effective service, we will reschedule at no additional cost.​

 

9. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a fee of:
$40 or 25% of the service total (whichever is greater).​

 

10. Wait Time

If we are unable to begin within 15 minutes of arrival due to delay, a cancellation fee may apply.​

 

11. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion unless agreed otherwise

  • We accept cash, e-transfer, debit and credit card

  • Applicable taxes (HST) will be added

  • Unpaid balances may be subject to additional fees or collection action

 

12. Photos & Marketing

We may take before-and-after photos for quality control and marketing.
No personal identifying details (e.g., license plates, addresses) will be shared without consent.​

 

13. Safety & Service Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if a vehicle:

  • Contains hazardous materials (chemicals, waste, biohazards)

  • Poses a safety risk

  • Is in a condition beyond the scope of standard detailing

 

14. Detailing Risks & Limitations

By booking our services, you acknowledge that:

  • Pre-existing damage may become more visible after cleaning

  • Worn or delicate materials may not respond uniformly

  • Cleaning may expose hidden defects (scratches, stains, etc.)

  • Odours (smoke, mold, etc.) may not be fully removable

 

15. Paint, Surfaces & Materials

Detailing processes such as washing, polishing, and extraction may:

  • Reveal paint defects or prior repairs

  • Affect weakened clear coat or finishes

  • Produce varying results depending on surface condition

 

16. Electronics & Accessories

We are not responsible for issues involving:

  • Sensitive electronics or infotainment systems

  • Sensors, wiring, or battery performance

  • Aftermarket or customer-installed accessories

 

We do not remove installed items such as:

  • Car seats

  • Seat covers

  • Mounts or devices

  • Custom accessories

 

Loose Items & Floor Mats:
Loose items, including removable floor mats, may be taken out and reinstalled during cleaning. While care is taken, we are not responsible for improper fitment or positioning. The customer must ensure all floor mats are properly installed and secured before operating the vehicle.

 

17. Vehicle Access & Authorization

You confirm that:

  • You have authority to approve work on the vehicle

  • We may move the vehicle as needed to complete service

 

18. Satisfaction & Claims

You are responsible for inspecting the vehicle upon completion. Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of service. After this period, the service is considered accepted.

 

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or outcomes beyond our control

  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

 

20. Liability Waiver

By booking our services, you:

  • Accept all risks associated with detailing

  • Agree not to hold Advantage Auto Detailing liable for damages except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct

  • Waive the right to pursue additional claims beyond the service amount

 

21. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

 

22. Updates to Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the current version.
